Natural Teeth Whitening
Discoloration of your teeth can happen as a result of numerous factors such as staining foods and drinks, age, tobacco use, trauma, and medications. Professional whitening produces results tailored for each patient and is designed to achieve a whiter smile that maintains a natural look. Over-the-counter products will not produce the level of whitening or length of results that our treatments provide.
Teeth whitening is an option for individuals with healthy, natural teeth and gums. It is not something we recommended for those who have fillings or false teeth as a result of other restorations. When you come in for your appointment, we apply the whitening product directly to the teeth. This bleaching product might be used in conjunction with a laser, special light, or heat to effectively whiten your smile. The whitening of a smile is a result of the bleach breaking down stains into smaller, less concentrated parts. You can expect to start seeing results of the process usually within 30 to 60 minutes; however, the best outcome involves multiple visits.
Dr. Lawlor belongs to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists and has been specifically trained in cosmetic dentistry. The American Dental Association does not issue special certifications or licenses indicating which dentists are cosmetic dentists and which are not. The dentist you go to for twice-yearly check-ups is probably not going to be the same dentist you go to for cosmetic enhancement. Unless you’re in the qualified hands of Dr. Lawlor!
At Maine Dentistry, we bill all dental insurances and accept credit cards or CareCredit as forms of payments. Any questions? We know dental billing can be confusing. We’re here to help!
We get it. You hate the dentist. You’ve been trained to loathe the very word and everything associated with it. That’s exactly what inspired us to rethink the dental experience, backed by decades of insights and know-how. Meet Maine Dentistry–our space feels both familiar and inviting, our crew seriously knows their stuff, and our approach promotes long-term luster over emergency care.
