Dr. Katie Clark

Dr. Katie Clark was born and raised in Maine. She attended the University of Maine, graduating at the top of her class with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following graduation, Dr. Clark went on to earn her D.M.D. degree from the University of New England.

Becoming a dentist has been Dr. Clark’s dream career since she saw a change in her own smile through orthodontics during her early teen years. Katie recalls being self-conscious of her smile growing up and enjoyed going to her dental appointments with the knowledge she was one step closer to a beautiful smile. Although Dr. Clark was only 15 years old at the time, she knew helping others confidence in their own smiles was her calling, and she is proud to realize her lifelong goal as a certified dentist.

Dr. Clark is dedicated to researching modern dental trends to provide the best, individualized care to her patients. Dentistry is not just a career, but a passion for Dr. Clark with a focus on providing a comfortable experience for patients who want to achieve their dream smile.

In her free time, Dr. Clark enjoys playing with her dog Boomer, trying new restaurants in Portland, and trying new recipes in the kitchen (suggestions are always welcome). An avid lover of all Maine’s seasons, her summer activities find her enjoying time by the water and in winter, snowmobiling with her family or attempting to ski.

Dr. Mason Cyr
Dr. Mason Cyr

Dr. Mason Cyr is a Maine native, born and raised in Freeport, Maine. He attended University of New England and received a bachelors degree in Applied Exercise Science. His focus shifted from sports medicine to dentistry when he had a sport related injury and disliked his recovery process wherein he found his passion for dentistry. Becoming a Dentist from that point meant more than making beautiful smiles, dentistry means involvement in the community and providing additional services to those in need.

Dr. Cyr graduated from University of New England’s College of Dental Medicine class of 2021. He proceeded to further his education and expertise by attending a general practice residency at the University of Michigan. His experience in Ann Arbor MI, gave him the opportunity work with a variety of patients and build his treatment experience unlike anywhere else.

During his time at University of Michigan he was able to work with medically compromised and special needs populations. Aside from working in the clinic and rounding on inpatients, he rotated through general anesthesia, oral surgery and even emergency medicine.  Dr. Cyr performed extensive treatment in the operating room and would manage post op cancer patients, fabricating orthotics known as obturators. During his time at Michigan he stated he learned saw a variety of cases while on call, treating extensive trauma or infections which would require treatment options that would not be performed in the private practice setting.

Dr. Cyr is avid about providing pain free dentistry, creating dream smiles, and restoring proper function to those with traumatic occlusion. It is his goal to make going to the dentist a pleasant experience and providing patients with time to relax instead of the traditional discomfort.

On Dr. Cyr’s days off he enjoys hiking, restaurants and all activities outdoors. Although he is a local Mainer, he is ready to learn more about the state he has grown to love.

Jake Palmer

Jake was raised in the small town of Pittston in central Maine and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of New England in 2016. He enjoyed his studies under amazing professors during coursework and continued to learn new and improved methods of care each day under their tutelage. Jake now applies those skills to his clinical career. He is certified for local anesthesia as well as administration of nitrous oxide during treatment.

Jake prides himself on making connections with his patients on a personal level along as well as their dental care provider to ensure a comfortable judgement free experience. He always looks for the best treatment options available and provides clear information to his patients for treatment satisfaction.

Every new patient in his chair receives a comprehensive new patient experience, including clinical images of your teeth and smile, a full set of dental radiographs to diagnose any issues, periodontal charting to evaluate bone health, and finish with a dental cleaning. He is a very personable hygienist, and wants his patients to be excited about coming to the dentist.

When not at work, Jake loves the outdoors. In the summer, that includes fishing, playing basketball, golfing, going to the beach, camping, and hiking. In the winter you can find him snowboarding or playing virtual golf. He has a love for animals, especially his cat named Wonton.

Not everyone can
do what we do

Dr. Lawlor belongs to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists and has been specifically trained in cosmetic dentistry. The American Dental Association does not issue special certifications or licenses indicating which dentists are cosmetic dentists and which are not. The dentist you go to for twice-yearly check-ups is probably not going to be the same dentist you go to for cosmetic enhancement. Unless you’re in the qualified hands of Dr. Lawlor!
